Angie Cimbalo - Magnolia Orchestra
Angie Cimbalo is currently the director of orchestras at Ereckson Middle School for the Allen Independent School District, where she conducts the school’s four orchestras, various elementary classes in the EMS feeder system and an additional after school Pops Orchestra. In addition, Mrs. Cimbalo conducts the Magnolia Orchestra for the Cross Timbers Youth Orchestra based in McKinney. She is also the lead teachers for the McKinney Parks and Recreation Department’s “Exploring Strings Series”, a new program for students grades K-5 as well as adult beginners.
Mrs. Cimbalo began teaching in 1979 and has 29 years experience with all levels, grade 6 through the collegiate level. She has enjoyed many years of teaching both band and orchestra students and has taught in many areas of Texas. Her groups have consistently earned honors from the Texas Music Educator’s Association by placing in the top six orchestras in the state, both at the high school and middle school level. Her program in Richardson ISD at Apollo Jr. High took first place in the state “Honor Orchestra” competition three consecutive times, in 1999, 2001 and in 2003.
Mrs. Cimbalo’s primary instruments are cello, trombone, and piano, and she has performed with various symphony orchestras and chamber groups throughout the state. She also clinics, guest conducts, adjudicates UIL contests, music festivals and competitions throughout the state. Mrs. Cimbalo lives in Garland with her husband Phil, a cellist, and their dog, Maggie. She currently has two daughters attending Texas A&M University.

Sabine Madriguera - Guitar Orchestra
Sabine Madriguera hails from Berlin, Germany. Sabine has a degree from the Hochschule fuer Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin. In 1991 Sabine and Soprano Bettina Eisemann were awarded the first and special prize in the Duo Competition held at Soumagne, Belgium. Sabine has been active as a performer and clinician in Europe and the Americas. She is Director of Guitar Studies at Collin County Community College. Her student ensembles were awarded first places in the competition at the UT Brownsville Guitar Ensemble Festival and Competition in 2004 and 2005. Sabine Madriguera is also a member of the Advisory Board to the Allegro Guitar Society. Sabine is the director of the Guitar Orchestra for CTYO since its initiation in the August of 2005. The City of Dallas, Office of Cultural Affairs has awarded Sabine as well as her duo partner and husband, Enric, several grants to underwrite performances and arts projects in Dallas. In 2003 the duo released their first CD on the Plano based - Encore label.

Allison Lang - Drum Orchestra Instructor
DRUM ORCHESTRA is lead by Allie Lang, an Elementary Music Specialist at Slaughter Elementary School in McKinney, Texas. Allie grew up in Duncanville and began to learn to play percussion the summer before 6th grade. She continued her involvement in both Band and Choir throughout Junior High and High School. She graduated from Duncanville High School and received a scholarship to attend Stephen F. Austin State University, where she majored in Instrumental Music and graduated with a degree in Music and a Certification in Piano Pedagogy. She has been a dedicated teacher even before receiving her teacher certification. She taught music for the charter elementary school on the SFA campus, and also for the Music Preparatory on Campus. She played piano for 3 different churches during her years there, taught children's choir, and led Drum Line camps for area high schools. She was also the Worship leader for the Wesley Foundation Student Center on campus, and held that position until graduation. Currently she plays percussion as needed with smaller orchestras, plays percussion for her church, and teaches private percussion and piano lessons as well as private theory.

Deborah Perkins - CTYO Elementary Strings Emeritus Director
The founding facilitator of the Cross Timbers Youth Orchestra's Elementary Strings outreach program, Deborah Perkins, Ph.D., has three decades of experience in string education. Dr. Perkins' own education began at the Crane School of Music at State University College in Potsdam, New York where she received a bachelor of music. Her studies continued with a master's degree from the University of South Carolina and a Ph. D. from the University of North Texas. Throughout her career, Deborah has demonstrated a gift for teaching and has constructed successful public school orchestra programs in Florida and South Carolina. She later transitioned to the university level, teaching string methods at UNT, Florida Atlantic University and becoming the first master teacher for the University of South Carolina String Project. Deborah teaches string methods and string pedagogy at Southern Methodist University but also guest conducts numerous honor orchestras, adjudicates festivals and presents clinics locally and throughout the United States. During the summers, Dr. Perkins often travels with youth orchestras to Mexico, Europe and China.

Danny Moore - Programs Coordinator
Danny serves as the Programs Coordinator of CTYO Elementary Strings offerings and the CTYO Studio Program. Danny performs as a cellist with the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra and serves as Worship Minister for Crossroad Christian Church of McKinney. A student of Lee Fiser, Danny is a graudate of the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. He has taught classes and been involved with CTYO’s elementary outreach programs and has worked with the CTYO orchestras and summer camps. He resides in McKinney and teaches private students through a studio in his home, and he also teaches private lessons for the McKinney ISD orchestra program.

Ellen Townley - Live Oak
Ellen Townley is currently in her third year as Assistant Orchestra Director at Allen HS. Before coming to Allen ISD she served as the Head Orchestra Director at Dulles Middle School in Fort Bend ISD, a position she held for eleven years. Miss Townley, a native of Norman, Oklahoma, received her Bachelor of Music in Education from University of North Texas in Denton, and a Master of Music in viola performance from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. While attending Northwestern University, Miss Townley was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago viola section. She has been Orchestra Director at Clute Intermediate, Brazosport ISD; Sugar Land Middle School and Hodges Bend Middle School; Fort Bend ISD. Her groups have continually received the UIL "Sweepstakes" award. Under her direction, the Dulles Middle School Orchestra was awarded first place at the Bluebonnet Classic (1998), the Buckaroo Showcase of Music (1999, 2000, 2001, & 2002). In addition to the first place awards at the Buckaroo Showcase, the orchestra was selected as the Overall Outstanding Orchestra in both 1999, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2005. Under her direction, the Dulles MS Orchestra was invited to perform at the 54th annual Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. In 1997 she was names Dulles MS Teacher of the Year. In addition to her teaching, Miss Townley is active as a clinician and judge throughout the state of Texas and was an active freelance violist in the Houston area. She is a member of the American String Teachers Association, Texas Orchestra Directors Association, Texas Music Educators Association, Mu Omicron and is listed twice in Who's Who Among American Teachers
