OPUS was founded in 2005 at the signature fundraiser for CTYO. OPUS I was hosted by Mason & Jim Query and Carrie Garner provided the original artwork for auction. OPUS allows CTYO to engage the community and celebrate providing accessible and affordable music education for young people in North Texas. The tradition continued in 2006 with Opus II held at the McKinney Performing Arts Center with honorary chair, Clara Mae Perkins and gala chair, Shelly Cronin.
