Sabine Madriguera - Guitar Orchestra Sabine Madriguera hails from Berlin, Germany and has a degree from the Hochschule fuer Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin. In 1991 Sabine and Soprano Bettina Eisemann were awarded the first and special prize in the Duo Competition held at Soumagne, Belgium. Sabine has been active as a performer and clinician in Europe and the Americas and is currently the Director of Guitar Studies at Collin County Community College. Her student ensembles were awarded first place in the competition at the UT Brownsville Guitar Ensemble Festival and Competition in 2004 and 2005. Sabine is also a member of the Advisory Board to the Allegro Guitar Society. The City of Dallas, Office of Cultural Affairs has awarded Sabine as well as her duo partner and husband, Enric, several grants to underwrite performances and arts projects in Dallas. In 2003 the duo released their first CD on the Plano-based Encore label.
