  Donna Davis - Live Oak Orchestra
Donna Davis, an experienced teacher and conductor, leads the CTYO Live Oak Middle School orchestra. Donna began her musical journey as a cellist at Carnegie-Mellon University and later received a degree in cello performance from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. She began conducting soon after, leading Young Artist’s Philharmonic String Ensemble in Stamford, Connecticut, the Erie Youth Orchestra in Erie, Pennsylvania, the Greenwich Summer Music and Art Program in Greenwich, Connecticut, and the Anchorage Festival of Music in Anchorage, Alaska. Following a move to Texas, Donna founded the Junior String Ensemble for the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio. Donna is a student of the Suzuki Method and has established Suzuki cello programs at the Bethwood Suzuki School and the Merit Music Studios in Connecticut. Due to her expertise, she is a sought after workshop clinician for Suzuki summer programs around the country. Currently, she teaches cello and chamber music at the Suzuki Institute of Dallas. Donna lives in Plano with her cello playing husband and son.
